*This guest post is written by Mrs. Lo Tanner of lotanner.com where she talks all things dating and marriage. Welcome, Lo!
Can I stop you right where you are and say, “You’re doing a stellar job”?
Because you are.
I know sometimes you doubt it. Sometimes you feel ill-equipped and some days you carry you carry more than your fair share of responsibility. You probably don’t get near the thanks you deserve, and if you’re anything like me, that discourages you sometimes.
Don’t let it though.
With a heart like yours, I’d bet you anything, God is applauding your every effort.
A year ago, I would have questioned that truth. And to be honest, sometimes I still do. It can be hard to give the best of yourself when it appears to go unnoticed. But, you are never unseen.
God has such incredible admiration and appreciation for you. I remember the day that I truly began to believe that; the day I began to really unravel God’s character, heart, and love for me.
It was sprinkled all over the pages of my Bible. The are very few words of encouragement that will ever measure up to God’s words. He (God) has the encouragement you need for the season that you’re in.
That’s one of the conversations we have in my ebook Simple & Sweet: Practical Tips for the Women Learning to Study God’s Word. What’s equally amazing is that His encouragement is made readily available to all of us!
Mama, God loves you. He loves your humility and your diligence is pleasing to Him. He praises your sacrifices and smiles on your compassion. God sees your servant heart and it’s precious to Him. You are precious to Him.
There will be days when your heart wants to doubt that. When that day comes I want to encourage you to respond to that doubt by digging into God’s Word. Hear His heart on the matter.
If you don’t know where to start, my ebook, Simple & Sweet can teach you how to use your Bible to find the encouragement you need for the season you are in.
The work you do matters. Not only to the people you serve but to the God you serve. So Mama, don’t lose heart. “God is not injust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them (Hebrews 6:10 NIV) .”
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9
